About the Blog
It all started with a 25-page guide to New Orleans. After years of requests for the best things to do/see/eat/drink in the Crescent City, I finally decided to put my recommendations into a document and it has since been shared with countless people around the world. A few months later, I found myself planning an eight-person Icelandic excursion for friends. I really enjoyed putting everything together – from finding an incredible vacation home to mapping out our Golden Circle drive. Noticing my knack for traveling well, my friends and family encouraged me to explore travel writing as a hobby, so I enrolled in travel writing classes and the rest, as they say, is history.
At Geaux Places, I’ll share my tips, itineraries and reviews of the places I go and things I see. I also hope to connect to other seasoned travelers who can impart their wisdom, hints and inspiration for future travel plans. Let the good times roll!
